KIYOMIZU DERA - Kyoto
This is probably the most visited temple in Kyoto.
KIYOMIZU DERA (清水寺) is one of the oldest temples in Japan that has so much history behind.
According to wekipedia (yes, wekipedia tells u everything),
There is not a single nail used in the entire structure. It takes its name from the waterfall within the complex, which runs off the nearby hills. Kiyomizu means clear water, or pure water.
At this moment, the temple is under construction and covered by a huge net so it doesn't look as pretty as it's always been, but definitely a place to go still when you visit Japan.
