TEMMA - Food Heaven, Osaka

We went to this area called TEMMA (天満) in Osaka the other night.
And this area really is a food heaven.
Real food heaven in Japan.

This area has lots of narrow streets on which there are tons of bars, restaurants and Izakaya (居酒屋), fancy ones and ghetto ones.

Many of those places only has a few seats inside and couple outside since the space is very limited.
But actually more people than you think can fit inside.

And quite a lot of them don't even have seats so customers have to stand up and drink/eat. This style is called TACHINOMI (立ち呑み) and very common especially in the area where lots of drinkings involved.

What we liked the most about this place beside the quality and variety of food they offer is the atmosphere.
This place is real Japan that you are looking for.
The daily life of Japanese people can be seen here.
No kimonos, no matcha, no politeness, no untisocialness.
People here have fun just drinking and eating with people they know and they don't know.

If you want to know what it's like to drink and eat in Japan, you must come here at lest once during your visit.

Food from one of the Korean restaurants.
